Position Summary:
The Payroll Printing & Shipping Specialist is responsible for the accurate printing, preparation, packaging, and shipment of payroll and tax-related materials for ConnectPay clients. This role focuses primarily on physical production and distribution tasks, ensuring sensitive client information is handled securely and delivered on time.

This is an in-office, part-time position, with most of the work occurring on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, aligned with payroll processing and shipping schedules. Number of hours worked per week will vary but it could be anywhere from 20-30 hours a week.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Print payroll checks, payroll reports, and shipping labels in accordance with established procedures
  • Seal checks, assemble payroll packets, and carefully package client materials to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and secure delivery
  • Prepare and ship client packages using approved couriers, including US Mail, FedEx, and UPS
  • Process and ship year-end tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s
  • Order and maintain adequate inventory of office and shipping supplies, including:
    • Checks
    • Envelopes
    • Labels
    • Paper
    • Toner
  • Monitor printing and shipping equipment and alert leadership when service or repairs are needed
  • Reconcile shipping invoices and assist with tracking and carrier-related inquiries as needed
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route or respond appropriately when required
  • Assist with related office and administrative tasks as assigned to support operations and deadlines

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Organized, efficient, and able to follow documented procedures
  • Comfortable working with printers, shipping systems, and related equipment
  • Familiarity with US Mail, FedEx, UPS, and general shipping processes
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive and confidential client information

CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role's hourly rate range is $17-18/hr. The actual hourly range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity.
